Hi,
We’re a group of from Hope Baptist Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. We’ve partnered with Mercy Foundation a Thai organization based in the Ubonratchatani Province, Thailand. Their purpose is to work to advance the quality of life for the Thai people, fund occupational development of those in poverty, fund orphanages and offer them assistance, conduct educational programs or schools, and advance the work of culture and religion.
Our team is made up of six people: Ron Lebroke, Eric Culberson, Jim Markus, John Tieman, Shannon Vicker, and Kevin Vicker.
Our trip to work with the Mercy Foundation takes place from Friday October 17 through October 29, 2008.
While we are there, we will be providing basic dental care, helping with construction on the cafeteria, and hosting a Vacation Bible School. Ron will be providing the dental work to the children in the school and the orphanage, John’s main focus will be working on construction, and Shannon’s main focus will be the Vacation Bible School. Eric and Kevin will be participating in all of these aspects of service throughout the trip.
